Mandi, July 10
Local MP Kangana Ranaut inaugurated a Sansad Jan Samvad Kendra here today. The centre aims to serve as a platform for the residents of the Mandi parliamentary constituency to directly interact with the MP regarding various development issues.
Kangana, while speaking to mediapersons later, reiterated her commitment to becoming the voice of the people of Mandi. She said that she would raise crucial development issues, including the construction of highways, road tunnels at Jalori and Bhubhu Jot, and the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalayas, during the upcoming parliamentary session.
She said: “I am here to address the concerns and aspirations of the people of Mandi.” Apart from the newly inaugurated centre, Kangana has also established public meeting offices in Sarkaghat and Manali.
She highlighted specific local challenges such as the management of garbage disposal in the Mandi region and assured proactive measures to address the problem.
Kangana criticised the Congress government for stalling development projects and promised to resume these when the BJP comes to power in the state. She underscored her focus on Mandi Sadar’s development, acknowledging the area’s pivotal role in her electoral success.
Kangana affirmed her ongoing discussions with the MLAs from Assembly constituencies falling in the Mandi parliamentary constituency to outline development priorities that she intended to pursue through the Central Government’s initiatives. Her initiatives include advocating for a smart city project to uplift Mandi’s urban infrastructure.
