Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said awareness camps were organised across the district over the past year to develop 19 tribal villages in 16 panchayats as model villages. Under the Utkarsh Abhiyan, the administration has prioritised 25 key schemes for focused implementation over the next five years, covering crucial sectors such as road and telecom connectivity, education, anganwadi centres, health sub-centres, drinking water, drainage and solid waste management in tribal-dominated panchayats.

In panchayats with nearly 50 per cent tribal population, extensive awareness drives were conducted to inform residents about welfare programmes and link eligible beneficiaries to various schemes. Help desks were also set up to facilitate services like Aadhaar enrolment, Jan Dhan accounts, community certificates, Ayushman cards, pensions and nutrition schemes.
