Bhardwaj directed departmental officials to complete all requisite formalities for sanctioned works before the forthcoming Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) elections, so construction could begin soon. He instructed the Public Works Department to commence development works under the MP and MLA LADF within 10 days and asked the Nurpur SDM to conduct regular reviews.

Reviewing the Jal Shakti Department, the MP directed completion of hand pump installation sanctioned under the MP fund by June next year, to assess underground water levels. He also asked the department to link two MLA-funded borewells in Nurpur town to overhead tanks, ensuring residents would not face a severe water crisis as they had this monsoon.

On the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), he said renewal of obsolete transformers and wires, laying of new power lines and smart metering were being prioritised. Of 28 obsolete transformers in Nurpur, 25 had already been upgraded, he added.

Bhardwaj further said the slow pace of the Pathankot–Mandi four-lane project was being accelerated, and the stretch between Kandwal and Bodh in Nurpur would be completed by November 15.
