Kangra Lok Sabha MP Rajiv Bhardwaj has written to Union External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to open a Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) at Nurpur and Chamba in his parliamentary constituency. He pleaded that the people of Kangra and Chamba districts had to travel to Shimla, Palampur and Kangra for the purpose. He urged the External Affairs Minister to open an POPSK in the sub-post offices at Nurpur and Chamba so that people got this important facility near their native places.

He added that a POPSK extended the facility of processing passport applications, document verification and biometric data (fingerprints and photographs) preparation. He asserted that he would try his best for providing this facility at Nurpur and Chamba during his visit to New Delhi in the coming days.
