Kangra recorded its highest-ever temperature of 35°C in September today. The average maximum temperatures have soared in the state in the past couple of days with a significant reduction in rain activity.

The temperatures are likely to slide with the resumption of rain activity in the state from September 25. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorm/lightning at isolated places from September 25 to 27.
During this period, light to moderate rainfall is likely at a few places across the state.
