Kashmiri vendors get assurance of hassle-free trade

The Bilaspur administration today assured Kashmiri vendors that they would be allowed to freely do business and sell their products without any interruption. The Ghumarwin SDM held a meeting with local businessmen and Kashmiri vendors.

Both parties were called to the police station yesterday but the stalemate continued. The Ghumarwin SDM held another meeting today and assured the Kashmiri vendors that they would be free to do business in the district.

The local businessmen had allegedly objected to the business activities of Kashmiri vendors and probable tax evasion by them. Gaurav Chaudhary, SDM, Ghumarwin, said that local businessmen had told him that they had no objection to Kashmiris or any other migrant doing business in the district. He added that both parties were told that in any case of breach of law, all of them would be dealt with accordingly.
