Kaul Singh Thakur says Rathore ignored senior party leaders
Hamirpur, June 24
Kaul Singh Thakur, former president of Himachal Pradesh Congress Party (HPCC), said today that present HPCC president Kuldeep Singh Rathore had ignored the senior leadership and refrained from taking any advice on party issues. He was speaking to mediapersons at Karohta village after paying tribute to martyr Ankush Thakur, who sacrificed his life in the Galwan valley face-off on June 16.
Kaul Singh said that he never made any comment on whether the party should keep or remove Rathore. He added that Rathore should have worked by taking senior party leaders in confidence to strengthen the Congress in the state.
He said the state had failed to meet the expectations of people in two and a half years of its regime. He added that dissatisfaction prevailed in every section of society, as it has become a roll-back government.
He alleged that the government was trying to save people involved in the health scam. — OC
