Dharamsala, June 22
The retirees of Kangra Central Cooperative Bank (KCCB) today organized a dharna and submitted a memorandum to the district administration demanding pension.
In the memorandum the retirees of the KCCB alleged that all those who had retired from bank from 2010 to 2015 have not been given any pension. They alleged that a large number of retirees were not getting any pension despite having contributed towards their pension fund. The retirees were not given pension by the bank due to bad management of the pension fund by administrators of the KCCB. The retirees were being made scapegoat for the bad management of retirement fund of the bank, they alleged.
The KCCB retirees also demanded that the medical facility should be extended to them at par with the employees of the bank.
They demanded an inquiry into the alleged misappropriation and bad management in the fund created by the KCCB for retirees. The bank could not get sufficient returns in the investments made by the employees in their retirement fund as the administrators of the bank responsible for it deliberately invested funds at places where it could not get adequate returns and now retirees are suffering.
The retirees alleged that they have received information under the RTI that some administrators of the bank had deliberately misappropriated pension fund of bank. However, no action was being taken against them.
