During a meeting held regarding the schedule of the yatra, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kalpa, Amit Kaltaik, said “Just like every year, Kinnaur Kailash Yatra will begin from Tangling village and the possibility of using the Purbani Kanda route will be considered only after reviewing the current condition of the trail.”

“A base camp will be set up at Malling Khatta in Tangling village. All pilgrims will undergo a medical check-up. It is only after depositing a green fee of Rs 200 that they will be permitted to proceed on the yatra. Submission of the registration form, medical certificate and green fee is compulsory for all,” he said.
