Doon Valley Public School, Nalagarh, conducted a comprehensive security drill on Wednesday aimed at preparing students for emergency scenarios such as war or an air strike. The initiative was part of the school’s broader commitment to student safety through proactive awareness and preparedness.

The activity began with a special assembly briefing, where students were introduced to the purpose and importance of the drill. This was followed by the screening of an informative video that outlined critical safety protocols to be followed during emergencies. Students were taught key measures such as how to identify safe zones within the classroom, adopt proper sheltering techniques, remain calm under pressure and be mentally and physically prepared for sudden situations.

To simulate a real-life emergency, a warning siren was sounded across the campus. In response, teachers instructed students to stay calm and guided them to take cover under their desks or protect their heads using their school bags. Basic first aid readiness was also emphasised as part of the drill.
