Rajiv Gandhi Government College (Kotshera), Chaura Maidan, Shimla, emerged victorious in the 51st Himachal Pradesh University Inter-College Cross Country Championship, held on September 30 at Government College, Sangrah, in Sirmaur district.

The 10-km race witnessed the participation of athletes from colleges across the state, with the Kotshera college clinching the gold. This marks the first time since 1988 that the college has bagged the first position in the competition.

Vinod Kumar, Head of Department (physical education), expressed pride in the students’ achievement, stating: “This victory after 37 years is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our athletes.”

Principal Gopal Chauhan said, “This achievement reflects the holistic development we strive for at our institution.”
