Former MP and BJP leader Maheshwar Singh today said the Kullu Sadar MLA was befooling the masses by claiming the works done by the state government as his achievement.

Maheshwar Singh, while addressing mediapersons here, said the MLA was expert in the the art of spreading rumours. The ‘bhumi pujan’ of the drinking water scheme in the Kharal valley was done recently by MLA Sunder Thakur, whereas the fact was that its foundation stone was already laid by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. The budget for the scheme was provided by Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
