The elections of Kullu People's Association, Shimla, were held yesterday under the chairmanship of president MP Sood. Anurag Prashar has been elected as the new president; OP Kaistha as general secretary; MP Sood was appointed chief patron; and Sanjeev Sharma as patron. Kavinder Lal will be the advisor of the association, Murari Lal Sharma senior vice president, Gulpal Verma vice president, Jiwan financial secretary, Upmanyu Verma as joint secretary and Neeraj press secretary.

In a press release, Anurag Prashar praised the tenure of the old executive. He expressed hope that with the cooperation of office-bearers and members, every effort will be made to implement the works as decided, including construction of Kullu Bhavan in Shimla.

The association was founded by Mahindra Lal Sood with the objective of promoting brotherhood amongst people of Kullu, working in Shimla, and to preserve the rich culture and traditions of the valley.
