A labourer engaged by the highway construction company met with a fatal accident while working on the flyover bridge at Jassur on Pathankot-Mandi national highway near here on Sunday. The labourer identified as Munabbar (35), son of Julfan, Boodhkana village, Yamunanagar (Haryana) was working on pillar number 14 of the flyover bridge when he suddenly fell on the ground after losing his control. He was rushed to Nurpur civil hospital but the doctor declared him dead.

As per police information, the family of the deceased has been informed and exact cause of the death will be ascertained after post-mortem examination. The police have visited the accident spot for preliminary investigation of the mishap.
