Revenue, Horticulture and Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi conducted a surprise inspection of the blocked road near Nigulsari on National Highway-5 on Wednesday. He boosted the morale of officials and workers involved in the restoration work and assured them of all possible assistance.

Negi directly communicated with the officials and machine operators of the NH-5, appreciating their efforts to provide relief to the people of tribal district Kinnaur. He commended their courage in working under challenging geographical conditions and assured them all possible help from the district administration.

The Cabinet Minister directed the officials to expedite the repair of the Bada-Kamba stretch from the Nigulsari point to ensure that farmers and horticulturists could transport their cash crops to the market easily.

Chief Medical Officer Dr Sonam Negi, Bhabanagar SDPO Raj Kumar, Council Member Hitesh Negi, officials from the NHAI, along with local panchayat representatives and employees, were present with the minister.
