Last date for admission extended

The last date of admission in the first year at the Government Degree College, Sanjauli, has been extended to August 5. College Principal Chander Bhan Mehta said the decision had been taken for the convenience of students residing in far-flung areas where internet connectivity is poor. Self-assessment WhatsApp quiz

Every Saturday, the Education Department conducts a self-assessment quiz on WhatsApp for students of Classes I to VIII of government schools under the ‘Har Ghar Pathshala’ programme. The quiz, which runs on WhatsApp using artificial intelligence-enabled chatbot, has been developed by Convegenius. The quiz evaluates the learning outcome of students. More than 1.35 lakh students have registered themselves for the quiz in the last five weeks.

26 students picked by Microtek

Twenty-six students from engineering and technology and MBA programmes of the Shoolini University have been picked by the Microtek company on the basis of tests and online interviews. University Vice-Chancellor PK Khosla said it was a major boost to the students. He said the university provided well-equipped laboratories and essential practical knowledge to students to prepare them for the industry. Microtek chairman Subodh Gupta said: “We are indeed grateful to the Shoolini University for leading the way and supporting industry’s endeavours towards building a new India.”
