Law and order situation has collapsed in state: Parmar

Former Speaker of Himachal Legislative Assembly and BJP MLA Vipin Singh Parmar said today that the Sukhu government has failed to handle law and order situation which has collapsed. Shooting incidents, rape, murders are becoming common in the state which, at one time, was considered the most peaceful state of the country.

Due to the failure of the government, an incident of firing on former Congress MLA has come to the fore in Bilaspur. This is not the first time that bullets have been fired in broad daylight in Bilaspur in this manner. Earlier also, a similar incident happened in which no strict action was taken by the police. If the police had taken strict action in time, both the firing incidents would not have happened and such criminal activities would have been curbed, Parmar, BJP in-charge of Kangra-Chamba parliamentary constituency, said in a statement issued here.

Parmar said that the government should take strict action in this case so that the criminal elements in the state can be curbed.

This matter should be investigated thoroughly and action taken under the law against the guilty. The reason behind this incident and the conspiracy should come to the fore. The strictest possible action should be taken against the criminals so that no one can dare to do such a thing again, he said.

Parmar said the job of the police in the state is to maintain security. The job of the CID is to collect intelligence information so that any kind of criminal conspiracy can be detected and the police can control it by taking timely preventive action.
