Leakage in the Dhalli-Sanjauli tunnel is causing a lot of inconvenience to commuters. Not only do people on two-wheelers get wet but speeding cars, too, splash muddy water on them from the puddles created due to the continuous leakage. Making the situation worse is poor lighting – one can barely see and the movement becomes risky. Being such a busy tunnel, the department concerned should maintain it to avoid any mishap. — Muskan Chauhan, Dhalli
Roadside garbage an eyesore
The residents of Ward No. 1 of Una city and adjoining Arniala village along the Una-Takka road are forced to dump garbage on the roadside. While foul smell engulfs the area, the garbage also attracts stray cattle and scavengers. The Municipal garbage collection vehicle, which comes to the site only once a week, needs to increase the visits per week. — Rakesh Kapila, UNA
