The Adhivakta Parishad, Himachal Pradesh, organised a legal aid camp under the banner of Nyaya Paramarsh Kendra on July 5 in Kupvi, Shimla district. The event also featured an awareness session on the Forest Rights Act, with a special emphasis on community rights.
Residents and representatives from various villages across the Kupvi sub-division actively participated in the event. The session focused on the legal framework of the Forest Rights Act, entitlements of forest-dwelling communities and the importance of recognising collective ownership and rights over forest land and resources.
A dedicated team of advocates from the Himachal Pradesh High Court and district courts facilitated the camp, offering free legal consultations and addressing queries from the attendees.
