Licencees told to deposit third weapon by Dec 13

Una District Magistrate Raghav Sharma has ordered that all persons from the district, who have been issued three licensed weapons, should deposit their third weapon with the Licensing Authority by December 13.

The orders have been issued in the wake of the amendment in Section 3 of the Arms Act, under which licensees are allowed to possess a maximum of two weapons. As per the notification, criminal action under the provisions of the Arms Act will be initiated against those who don’t deposit their third weapon by the due date. — TNS
