Light snowfall is expected in the districts of Shimla, Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti and over the higher reaches of Sirmaur and Kullu districts. As per the weather department, the precipitation is likely to start from late night on Wednesday and continue till Thursday evening. At some isolated places, there’s a possibility of moderate snowfall as well.
Light rainfall is expected over a few places in the districts of Solan, Mandi, Shimla, Kullu, Sirmaur and Kinnaur until tomorrow evening. Light rainfall is also likely over one or two places in the districts of Chamba, Kangra, Una, Hamirpur and Bilaspur.
Besides, a few spells of light rainfall/snowfall, with one or two moderate spells, are likely over some tourist destinations like Naldehra, Manali and Shimla. A few spells of light snowfall with one or two moderate spells in Kufri, Narkanda, Solang Valley and Sissu from Wednesday night till Thursday evening are expected.
Maximum temperatures are likely to fall by four to five degree Celsius over the next 24 hours, while no large change in minimum temperature is expected in the next two days. Dense fog and cold wave likely at isolated places in low hills/plain areas during early morning, morning and late night hours from Thursday to Saturday.
