On Saturday night, Ramlal Sharma’s family had gone out of the village for a wedding ceremony. During this time, his sister Daya Devi and her niece were in the house. Both of them were in the kitchen when suddenly there was a loud explosion accompanied by lightning from the adjacent room.

Daya Devi suffered minor injuries. Luckily, both of them came out of the house in time. Within no time the house and kitchen were engulfed in massive flames. Seeing the incident of arson, the villagers reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire, but by then everything was reduced to ashes.

Gawahi gram panchayat pradhan Seema Dhiman has demanded compensation for the affected family.
