Caller threatens to kill him as he has not paid the money and reported the matter to police

Rajiv Rana, a liquor contractor of Una, today got a second WhatsApp call for Rs 5-crore ransom from the same person, who had called him yesterday as well, and threatened to kill him in the next 48 hours.

Rana, has businesses in Punjab and Himachal. The caller, who identified himself as Hari Boxer, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, had called him on his WhatsApp number yesterday as well and demanded Rs 5 crore as ransom and threatened him of dire consequences if he did not pay the money or reported the matter to the police.

Rana said that the same person called him again and said that “since I have violated both conditions, I will be killed in the next 48 hours”. He added that the caller claimed that he killed a person in Ludhiana today. Additional SP Sanjeev Bhatia said the location of the caller was being traced.
