The district administration initiated live streaming from the Shoolini temple here today to enable people to pay obeisance online. It will facilitate thousands of devotees, who pay obeisance at the temple in the last week of June during the annual fair.

Solan DC KC Chaman, said the historic state-level three-day fair had been cancelled in view of Covid. The traditional puja would be performed by the temple staff while no procession would be taken out.

Being the ruling deity of the town, the devotees from all across the region turn up in large numbers during the fair, which marks the sojourn of the deity to her elder sister Goddess Durga’s temple at Ganj Bazaar. —TNS
