‘LoP should speak to media with responsibility’
Naresh Chauhan, Principal Media Advisor to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has said that the job of the Opposition is not just to criticise the government, but in a healthy democracy the Opposition should support the government and play a positive role.
Targeting former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, Chauhan said that he should speak to the media with great responsibility, but it seems that speaking against the government has become a compulsion for him.
Praising the Chief Minister, Chauhan said Sukhu had done important work in strengthening the economic condition of the state by earning additional revenue of Rs 2,200 crore. “Efforts are being made to make the state a green state and promote solar energy,” he said.
He further said that the sole objective of the Opposition seems to be how to dislodge the democratically elected government. “But despite such attempts and conspiracies, the government stands firm like a mountain,” he said.
