Mahashivratri fest: 4th cultural evening mesmerises Mandi
The 4th Cultural Evening of the International Maha Shivratri Festival in Mandi was a vibrant showcase of music, dance, and performances that captivated the audience. The event was graced by RS Bali, Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (Cabinet Rank), as the Chief Guest, along with other dignitaries. Deputy Commissioner of Mandi, Apoorv Devgan, honoured the chief guest with a shawl, cap, and memento as a mark of respect.
The evening was filled with electrifying performances from local, national and international artists. Popular singer and actress Sunanda Sharma delivered a power-packed performance, enthralling the audience with hit songs like Jugni, Teri Nawi Saheli De Naal, and Lathe Di Chadar. She also collaborated with a Himachali singer to perform regional tracks like Kullu Manali Laga Mela and Tera Mera Pyar Aadiye Bachpana, which resonated deeply with the crowd.
Parallelly, playback singer Amika Shail took the stage, delivering Bollywood classics such as Laila Main Laila, Sara Jamaana Haseenon Ka Deewana, Tip Tip Barsa Pani, and Damadam Mast Kalandar, captivating the audience with her soulful voice.
Adding to the diversity, international cultural teams from Thailand and Malaysia presented mesmerizing dances, while local artists from Himachal Pradesh showcased traditional folk performances. Mandi’s own talent, Mamta Bhardwaj, also contributed to the musical celebrations with her soulful renditions.
The evening also witnessed remarkable performances by budding artistes. Little Amarya from Kangra charmed the audience, while young journalist Pushp Raj Sandhu from Mandi impressed with his rendition of Dulhe Ka Sehra Suhana Lagta Hai.
A unique highlight of the evening was a Karate demonstration by Team Black Panther’s young performers, promoting the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (Save Daughter, Educate Daughter) initiative through their powerful stunts.
With an incredible mix of culture, talent, and festive spirit, the 4th cultural evening of the Mahashivratri festival in Mandi was a grand success, leaving the audience spellbound.
