Coming to the rescue of a Covid-postive family under home isolation, a Mahila Mandal of Bhujal Mehanja village in Bhawarna block, harvested their entire wheat and potato crop.

Information gathered by The Tribune revealed that a family of Bhujal Mehanja village was under home isolation for the past 10 days after the members tested positive and were unable to harvest the standing crop, which had already been damaged.

No one was coming forward to help the family.

However, a Mahila Mandal reached the house of the infected family and assured them that they would harvest the entire crop.

Later, the women reached the fields and started harvesting potatoes. In two days, 90 quintals of potatoes were taken out from the fields and also transported to their home, free of cost.

The next day, the village women also harvested the standing wheat crop.
