THE village road in Ward No. 6 of Maira gram panchayat in Jawali subdivision has become unfit for pedestrians as well as vehicles. This stretch is full of potholes that get filled with rain water. The villagers are facing inconvenience while travelling to their homes. The local gram panchayat, which had made pucca roads in other parts of the panchayat, has neglected this village on the pretext of lack of funds. In the absence of poor road connectivity, the residents have to travel 2 km extra to reach their village. The authorities of Block Development Office, Nagrota Surian, should immediately address this problem. — Inder Singh, Maira
Road to Chambaghat District Industries Centre needs repair
THE road to the District Industries Centre from Chambaghat is in a pitiable shape because of a lack of maintenance. Chambaghat is one of the oldest industrial areas of the district, but condition of the road here is deploring. The road is risky, especially for two-wheelers. Immediate attention and repair is required to make it safe and functional. — Chirag, Solan
