Make education accessible to all: Youth federation
Mandi, December 8
The Democratic Youth Federation of India held a two-day state-level summit to raise various issues related to the youth here.
Anil Mankotia, chairperson of the Democratic Youth Federation of India, said: “We are against the new education policy, changes in labour laws and increasing unemployment. Education should be accessible to each section of society because fee hike deprives poor children of their right to education. The protection of labourers should be the priority of any government.”
“The number of unemployed youths is on the rise, which is matter of concern. It is the duty of the state government to create more jobs,” he said.
During the two-day event, an executive committee was constituted, which will work to connect more youths with the organisation in the coming days. A membership campaign would be started across the state from December 10 to 25. — TNS
