A man was arrested for attempting to appear in the Himachal Pradesh Police Constable recruitment process using a forged admit card at the 3rd IRBn Pandoh in Mandi district on Saturday.

The suspect had allegedly altered the credentials on an admit card originally issued to another candidate who had already participated in the recruitment process.

Mandi SP Sakshi Verma confirmed that the forgery was identified on time, leading to the immediate arrest of the accused.

A case has been registered against him under Sections 318(4), 336(1), 336(3), and 340 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The police authorities have assured that strict action will be taken to uphold the integrity of the recruitment process.
