Man electrocuted while cutting grass in Indora
Another farmer booked for allegedly laying electric wire that claimed Tilak’s life
Tilak Raj (29), a resident of Malhadi village in Indora subdivision of Kangra, was electrocuted in his fields today while cutting grass for fodder of his cattle. As per information, Tilak came in contact with an electric wire laid by another farmer, Karanveer, on the boundary of his field to protect his crop from wild animals.
A pall of gloom descended on the village after the incident. Tilak’s family had fixed his marriage next month. He was the only son in the family. The Indora police rushed to the spot and after a postmortem examination, the body was handed over the bereaved family.
The Indora police also registered an FIR against Karanveer for allegedly committing criminal negligence by laying an electric wire that claimed Tilak’s life. The case was registered under Sections 110 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.
