Man held for murder in Chamba

Chamba, December 2

The police have arrested one person for allegedly murdering Gian Chand alias Halku (50) of the Sirhkund area of Chamba district.

A police communiqué issued here today said accused Vishal Kumar had been arrested and produced before the local court which remanded him to police custody for four days.

The police had recovered the body of Gian Chand from near Government Senior Secondary School, Sirhkund, on November 30. Later, a murder case was registered at Chamba police station. —OC
