Man institutionally quarantined in Baddi found dead in washroom

A 47-year old resident of Odisa, who had entered Baddi without any registration on Saturday, was found dead in the washroom of St Luke’s School, Kotla, in Baddi, where he was institutionally quarantined around 6:30 am on Monday.
Another Uttar Pradesh migrant, Sonu, who was also quarantined there, found his body in the washroom with his toothbrush and tongue cleaner in his hand.
District Magistrate, Solan, KC Chaman, ordered a magisterial probe which will be conducted by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Solan, within 15 days, said ADC Vivek Chandel.
The probe will examine the cause of the death and also examine if Covid-19 was the underlying cause though the deceased was found fit when his health check-up was done on July 11.
The deceased Madan Mohan Sahu hails from Mangalpur in Odisa and he had come to join work at a sports manufacturing company at Barotiwala. He had worked in the area prior to the lockdown as well as said SP Baddi, Rohit Malpani.
His body was sent for a post mortem which will ascertain the cause of the death.
