Man shoots himself dead in Mandi district

A 38-year-old man, Mukesh Patiyal of Duddar village in Mandi district, allegedly shot himself dead.

According to Mandi SP Sakshi Verma, preliminary investigation suggested that mental distress may have been a contributing factor to the tragic incident. The police have initiated proceedings under Section 194 of the BNS and are conducting further investigations.

The incident has sent shockwaves in the local community.
