Preparations for the Jan Sankalp Conference, scheduled for December 11 at Paddal Ground, Mandi, were reviewed by Revenue, Horticulture, Tribal Development and Public Grievances Redressal Minister Jagat Singh Negi on Saturday. He inspected the venue and held a detailed meeting with the district administration and departmental officials, issuing key instructions to ensure the event’s success.

Negi said the conference, themed “Upliftment of Every Beneficiary – Building a Self-Reliant Himachal,” marks three years of the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led government. Highlighting the administration’s commitment to systemic reforms, he said that welfare-driven decisions taken over the past three years are now showing visible results. He added that extensive relief was provided to thousands affected by the devastating monsoon disasters of 2023 and 2025 through a special state-funded package.

The minister noted that the conference will outline the government’s developmental vision for the next two years and present a roadmap for making Himachal Pradesh self-reliant and one of the country’s most prosperous states. Beneficiaries of various schemes launched in the past three years will also share their experiences to help raise public awareness.

Negi directed officials to work in close coordination to ensure smooth arrangements, including travel, food and other facilities for participants from Mandi district and neighbouring areas. He emphasised proper parking management, clear signage, a strong public-address system and effective crowd control at entry and exit points of Paddal Ground.

Dharampur MLA Chander Shekhar shared his suggestions during the review, while Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan briefed the minister on the preparations completed so far.
