Mandi’s Jitesh becomes DSP in Central Armed Police Force

Jitesh Sharma, who hails from Ghaur village of the Rewalsar subtehsil, has been selected as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the Central Armed Police Force.
Jitesh’s selection as a Gazetted Officer took place in October 2023.
Following this, he underwent a rigorous police and military training programme at the Internal Security Academy in Mount Abu, Rajasthan.
According to Jitesh’s relative Manish Sharma, he was the only officer representing the state in this batch.
At the Pipping Ceremony, Jitesh’s parents Sukh Ram and Ruma Devi had the honour of pinning the Gazetted Officer rank on him.
According to Manish, after earning a bachelor’s degree from HPU, Shimla, Jitesh went on to obtain a master’s degree in computer science from Kurukshetra University.
In March 2006, he was selected for Himachal Police, where he served with distinction for approximately three and a half years, stationed at the Police Battalion in Pandoh, Mandi, and the Police Headquarters in Shimla. In 2009, Jitesh was selected as a Sub-Inspector in the CRPF.
