Martyr Kamal Dev Vaidya, sepoy, was cremated with Army and state honours at his native Ghumarwin village in Bhoranj today.

He was posted in the Mankot sector of Poonch district. He died following a mine blast during an Army operation near the LoC.

The body of the martyr arrived at the village this morning. Thousands of people reached the village to bid adieu to the brave soldier.

A unit of the Army was present to pay tribute to the martyr on behalf of the Commander. The CM said the martyr had made the supreme sacrifice. — OC
