The drive was inaugurated by Manali Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Raman Sharma at the Volvo Bus Stand, from where volunteers proceeded to clean key areas, including New Bridge and Rangri Chowk. HPSPCB Kullu Regional Officer Sunil Sharma welcomed all participants and emphasised the importance of such initiatives in fostering a culture of cleanliness and responsible waste management.

Throughout the drive, approximately 1,000 kg of solid waste was collected and carefully segregated into dry and wet waste. Participants were educated about the harmful effects of littering and the need to maintain clean surroundings. Special attention was given to raising awareness among shopkeepers and dhaba owners, urging them to dispose of waste responsibly and keep their premises clean.
