On the occasion of the Martyrdom Day of Mahatma Gandhi, All-India Kisan Sabha today lodged a protest and handed over a memorandum through SDM, Kangra, to be submitted to Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur seeking non-implementation of the CAA in this state.

A delegation was led by former member, National Council (CPI) Comrade Himal Chand. He was accompanied by All India Kisan Sabha, Kangra Branch chief Charandas and Secretary, Kisan Sabha, Kangra, Comrade Balveer Singh.

Himal Chand said that in the memorandum the Kisan Sabha called upon the Himachal government to pressurize the Central government by passing a proposal to withdraw the above laws on the lines of Punjab, Kerala, Rajasthan and West Bengal.— OC
