Milkfed plant in poor state

The Milkfed-owned chilling plant located in Lalsingi village near Una city is struggling for existence as it is functional at a mere 20 per cent capacity. The plant, having machinery capable of pasteurising 5,000 litres of milk every day, is getting only 800 to 1,000 litres of milk every day. Stray dog creates scare

A stray dog has been creating havoc in the Phagli and Nabha areas for the past few days. The dog is literally on a “biting spree” right under the nose of the MC and Animal Husbandry Department. It has bit several people and created a scare among residents. We had written to the MC and dog squad, but to no avail. Such dogs should be caught and taken to a safe dog shelter.
