A mini-secretariat will be constructed at Ghumarwin in the district at a cost of Rs 26 crore. Development projects of over Rs 250 crore are in progress in the constituency, said Rajinder Garg, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, here today. He performed ‘Bhumi pujan’ of the building of the mini-secretariat at Ghumarwin.

He said that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had laid the foundation stone of the building during a visit to the constituency last year. He added that it would accommodate offices of over 14 departments, besides administrative offices.

Garg said that the building would have ample parking space for visitors and most of the government services would be available under one roof.

He added that in the past four and a half years, the BJP government had ensured uniform development in the state though two years were badly affected due to Covid-19.

The minister claimed that due to the sincere efforts of the Chief Minister, the state had emerged as the best in the country in fighting the pandemic.

He added that there were only two oxygen plants in the state when Covid broke out but now there are 46 oxygen plants.
