Minister addresses public problems, reviews development plans in Kinnaur
Jagat Singh Negi, the Minister for Revenue, Horticulture, Tribal Development and Public Grievance Redressal, is on a five-day tour of Kinnaur district from January 25 to 29. During the visit, he is set to engage with the public to address their problems and hold meetings with district officials.
According to a government spokesperson, the minister arrived at Reckong Peo on January 25 and stayed overnight at the Public Works Department Rest House. The spokesperson said that the minister would attend the district-level Republic Day ceremony as the chief guest.
On January 27, Negi is set to chair a meeting of the District-level Grievance Redressal Committee at the Integrated Tribal Development Project Building’s conference hall. On January 28, he would review the district’s development plan and the 20-point programme during a meeting at the same venue.
The final day of his tour, January 29, would see the minister meet with the District-Level Committee on the Forest Rights Act, 2006, followed by a discussion with the Local Area Development Authority, both at the Integrated Tribal Development Project Building.
