Himachal minister Vikramaditya Singh announces Rs 1.5 crore for Rohru roads

PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh today announced Rs 1.5 crore for improving the condition of roads in and around Rohru in Shimla district.

He announced Rs 13 lakh for setting up a sound and light system in the auditorium of Government College, Seema, Rohru. Speaking during a function at the college, he announced Rs 10 lakh for development works in Nagar Panchayat, Chirgaon. He said the land had been allotted for the renovation of Ratnadi road and the work would start in 15 days. “The work on building a retaining wall near Seema College will also start simultaneously. Besides, the work on a proposed multipurpose building in the college will begin soon after completing formalities,” he said. Vikramaditya said he would visit Dodra Kwar to speed up the development work in the area.

Chief Parliamentary Secretary and local MLA Mohan Lal Brakta said the demand for funds for some roads of the Rohru area had been placed before the PWD Minister. “With the support of the Minister, a 5-km Sungri-Khadrala road had been metalled at a cost of Rs 1crore.”
