Minister backs Kangana on deleted ‘X’ post on Donald Trump
Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh today took a jibe at Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut for being asked to delete her tweet on ‘X’ on US President Donald Trump and said that he fully supported his “elder sister” on the issue.
On the directions of BJP national president JP Nadda, Kangana deleted her latest tweet on ‘X’ against Trump for asking Tim Cook to not undertake Apple phone production in India. “Our elder sister (Kangana) tried to speak against Trump but she was silenced. However, we support her and stand with her on the issue,” wrote Vikramaditya in his social media post. The two leaders do not miss any opportunity to hit out at each other.
Vikramaditya’s support to Kangana, who had defeated him in the 2024 parliamentary poll from the Mandi seat, is not surprising as the two political opponents often engage in a verbal duel on various social media platforms.
Kangana, who had criticised Trump for opposing the production of Apple phones in India, not only deleted her post on ‘X’ but also metioned that she was doing so on the directions of Nadda. In the past, the BJP top leadership had directed her to refrain from making controversial remarks, which not only land her in trouble but also cause embarrassment to the party.
Kangana had quoted a controversy for her remarks on many occasions. It is for this reason that the BJP tried to keep her media interactions during the Lok Sabha elections restricted, lest she courts a controversy.
