Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development works at Kyarkoti in the Kasumpti Assembly constituency of Shimla district today.
The minister laid the foundation stone of a new building of Government Senior Secondary School, Kyarkoti, a road from Dhagogi to Jayali village and a Panchayat Ghar at Neri in Chadi gram panchayat. He inaugurated the road from Mungar Nala to Mungar Mohanpur village and the Nala-Kyarkoti road.
He said, “A sum of Rs 15.65 lakh has been spent on various development projects, including roads, in Chadi panchayat over the past two and a half years. Besides, around Rs 5 crore has been approved for the school building and the work on it will begin by January next year.”
Anirudh said that the work on new roads would begin soon while other roads in the area would be strengthened and paved. He added that a bridge would be constructed over the Neri drain on the pattern of the Mohanpur drain. A bridge would be constructed to address the problem of frequent blockades in the Mungar drain, to save local residents from inconvenience, he added.
He announced the construction of a 50,000-litre tank in the temple area to ensure water supply during the feast. He directed the Executive Engineer concerned to prepare an estimate for it. He also directed government officials to prepare a proposal for the repair of the buildings of Government Senior Primary and Secondary School, Panjog, and submit it for approval before March 31 next year.
