Public Works Department Minister Vikramaditya Singh called on Satish Kumar, Chairman and CEO, Indian Railway Board, in New Delhi today.

He apprised him that the construction of a flyover at the HP Vidhan Sabha junction and a viaduct along the Victory Tunnel was stalled due to delay in approvals from the Northern Railway.

The minister discussed the expansion of the railway network in the state, especially the Bhanupali- Bilaspur railway line. The CEO said that the process for the Bhanupali-Bilaspur railway line was already underway and would take its course.

Vikramaditya thanked the CEO for taking immediate action, as the delay was affecting the progress of the work being undertaken by the PWD under the Smart City Project, he said.
