MLA: Women empowered under BJP

The process of political empowerment of women speeded up after the BJP came to power, said Rajya Sabha member Indu Goswami here yesterday.

Indu, while addressing the state working committee of the Mahila Morcha, accused the Congress of spreading lies and misguiding people by giving false figures. “I have worked for the BJP in Assam, Delhi, Chandigarh and Himachal and it is an honour for me to be a member of the party, which has 18 crore members,” she said. — TNS
