Mobile-app survey to identify PMAY-Gramin beneficiaries launched in Sirmaur district
Sirmaur Deputy Commissioner Sumit Khimta has announced the commencement of a survey under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) to identify eligible beneficiaries in the state.
The survey, conducted via the newly launched Awas Plus mobile application, will run from January 1 to March 31. Beneficiaries can either participate through surveyors or independently apply using the mobile application.
The survey can be conducted both online and offline.
It aims to gather comprehensive details about families, including their demographic data and geo-tagging of houses. To facilitate the process, trained surveyors at the gram panchayat level will visit the homes of potential beneficiaries. These surveyors will authenticate the data using Aadhaar-based e-KYC through the mobile application.
The collected information will determine the eligibility of applicants for housing approvals under the PMAY-G scheme in the coming years.
According to Khimta, the criteria for exclusion from the survey is: families owning three-wheeler or four-wheeler vehicles; holding a Kisan Credit Card with a limit of ERs 50,000 or more; having a family member employed in a government job; or earning a monthly income exceeding Rs 15,000.
Additionally, families with over 2.5 acres of irrigated land, 5 acres of non-irrigated land, agricultural machinery such as tractors, income tax or business tax payers, and those running non-agricultural enterprises registered with the government will be excluded from the survey.
