Rainbow World School, Bhawarna, conducted a mock drill to raise awareness and preparedness among students and staff in the event of emergencies such as fire, earthquakes or other disasters.

The exercise began with the sounding of an alarm, following which students and teachers promptly followed evacuation procedures and assembled at the designated safe zones in a record time. This was followed by a briefing session led by Fire Officer Surinder Kumar and his team from Fire Station, Palampur. They emphasised the importance of remaining calm, following safety protocols and acting swiftly during emergencies. The fire officials also demonstrated the correct use of fire extinguishers and explained basic first-aid techniques.

Principal Meenakshi Kashyap expressed gratitude to the Fire Department personnel for their guidance and stressed the importance of such drills in ensuring the safety and readiness of the school community. School manager Ravi Jamwal and vice-principal Seema Sharma also appreciated to the fire personnel for their valuable guidance to both students and staff during emergencies.
