Hamirpur, March 1

BJP leaders failed to destabilise and topple the state government by allegedly using money power and they had now been exposed before the public. This was stated by Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Chairman Kangra Central Cooperative Bank (KCCB).

Pathania was addressing a gathering at Gandhi Chowk here today. He said it was unfortunate that three MLAs from the district had turned hostile due to the “nefarious” designs of the BJP. “The district is fortunate to have one of its MLAs as Chief Minister of the state,” the KCCB Chairman said.

He added that in the past one year, the district had experienced a faster pace of development works and the MLAs had betrayed Congress even after promising to support the party candidate in Rajya Sabha election. Earlier, leaders and workers of the Congress party burnt an effigy of local MLA Ashish Sharma at Gandhi Chowk. They raised slogans against MLAs, including Rajinder Rana, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal and Ashish Sharma. Some supporters of Ashish Sharma, who tried to interrupt the protest, were stopped by the police.
